Indian Traditions in Search of Unity through Music (National Seminar): A two-day National Seminar on Indian Traditions in Search of Unity through Music was organized on 9 and 10 February 2013. Dr. Karan Singh, Member of Parliament (Rajya Sabha) was the keynote speaker. Besides the inaugural and the valedictory sessions, there were 5 academic sessions chaired by a coordinator in which 12 papers were read. Musicians and musicologists who participated in the seminar presented their papers along with musical demonstrations. Pt. Abhijit Banerjee, Pt. Balamurlikrishna and others made their musical presentations. The total number of participants and guest observers and observers was 109.
