A musical programme of devotional songs by Padmashree Dr. Anup Jalota and Padmashree Smt. Kavita Krishnamurthy Subramanium was organised at St. Andrew’s Auditorium, Bandra ( w), Mumbai to commemorate 150th birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda on 5th April 2013. Around 700 devotees attended the programme.
These projects were organized at 20 different places in all the seven States of the North Eastern Region. 138 troupes consisting of about 1000 artists represented various ethnic groups through their cultural performances. On the 17th of February, 2013 Ramakrishna Math Baghbazar in collaboration with Ramakrishna Math Balaram Mandir arranged a ‘Vivekananda Rally” from Gouri Mata Udyan at 7.30 a.m. Monks and Brahmacharins of the Ramakrishna Math, Baghbazar and Balaram Mandir, 1000 students of Nivediata School and 1500 devotees attended the rally.
From Paramakudi, Swamiji reached Madurai on 2nd February 1897. He was given a reception and Swamiji gave his reply.
