Parliament of Religions – 11th September 2012 Jointly by the four Mission centers in Chennai.
In connection with the 150th Birth Anniversary of Swami Vivekananda, Chennai Mission Centres viz. Ramakrishna Mission Vidyapith, Ramakrishna Mission Ashrama, Ramakrishna Mission Students’ Home and Ramakrishna Mission Sarada Vidyalaya conducted a Parliament of Religions on 11th September 2012 with a theme “Unity of Mankind through Harmony of Religions”.
The Function was held in Infosys Hall of Ramakrishna Mission Matriculation Higher Secondary School between 3.30 pm to 9.00 pm. Srimat Swami Gautamanandaji Maharaj inaugurated the parliament and Swami Brahmeshanandaji Maharaj presided over the function.
The program was given wide publicity and about 2000 people attended the function. Tea was arranged for all the people. Around 1500 people partook dinner. All were given pamphlets containing Swamiji’s Chicago Address. The programme was telecasted live in the web. Some news channels and many dailies have covered the programme.
