The Ashrama celebrated the 150th birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda by installing a 12.5 ft statue of Swami Vivekananda on the Ashrama premises on 27th of April 2013. The statue was unveiled by his excellency the governor of Odisha Sri S.C. Jamir in the presence of Swami Gautamananda and Sri Lal Bhihari Himirika the Honourable Minister, SC & ST Development Minorities & Backward Classes Welfare Department, Govt of Odisha. After the unveiling there was a public meeting where dignitaries addressed the audience. The total attendance was 800 along with the 520 students of the Ashrama.
